Bluetooth mouse, NUC, Ubuntu
#1
Hi,
I'm finding that my BT mouse goes to sleep after a period of inactivity( not sure how long but more than 10 mins ).
this happens when using both the Ubuntu interface and Kodi Helix.
To get the mouse to wake up I have to reboot the box, which is a pain.I can use an IR remote but I find the mouse a better option as it frees up a USB port.

I do not konw how to prevent your BT mouse from going to spleep.

Many NUCs have a built in CIR port, which should work fine with an IR remote.

The combination works very well on my NUC D34010WYK with OpenELEC.

I can use the IR remote, Have set up a Harmony but it has problems when I I'm in Kodi.Have tried in another thread to address the issue but so far no success.
So I'm left with the BT mouse as a workaround.
Perhaps its time to give up on the mouse and try an air mouse on a USB port and a tablet Kodi remote.
My wife needs to be comfortable with whatever system I end up with!
Have an android box set up for Kodi and the BT mouse works perfectly.
