Linux Library sorting options
#1
I've been a long time Mediaportal user and thinking of switching to kodi under linux. While testing Kodi I got almost everything just right with on exception. While browsing my movie or tv library I would like it to sort the library without using "A, The". Example currently "A Christmas Carol" is listed in order using A I want it to be sorted on "Christmas" instead. Should be simple but I can not locate how to do this.

Thanks

Do you have NFO_files (wiki) for your movies?

If yes, it's pretty simple. You can add a

<sorttitle>whatever sorttitle in here</sorttitle>

tag inside the NFO file. Then refresh your movie info and you should be done.

If you don't have those NFO files already, that's not a huge problem. Just export your library to "seperate files" and the NFOs are created automagically Wink. Then just edit the specific files which should have a new sort place, and that's it.
