For a couple of years ago I own a Logitech Z-5500 speaker system.
On that system I could choose x2 stereo.
Then every sound from left front was also playing in left back, same thing with right channel.
Then you use all possible speaker for your favorite music.
Could you add a feature for this in Kodi?
Maybe a one press button for x2 stereo.

I tried that but I didn't like the sound quality.
And I just want to make x2 stereo easy not to all my sound. If I change that in the settings it affect my movies as well.

Well I doubt we'll add a setting that does almost the exact same thing, what maybe possible in the future is to change it to a choice of something like All/Music/Videos

It would be great.
But why is the quality lower when using downsample?
On my system the volume is get lower and with less bass.

I've never had any quality loss with that setting. It is literally just using stereo for both front and back speakers.

Did the OP really set speaker config to 4.0 in audio settings and stereo upmix enabled? I have the feeling there is some sort of missunderstanding going on here...
