Win High RAM usage, Error Message

Good Morning,

i am trying to fix that problem (http://www.erken.eu/temp/Kodi_OOM.jpg) since a few weeks. The "high RAM error message" occurs approx after 24 hours, becouse i dont turn off my htpc. I am getting this error with Helix 14.2 and and the 15.0 Beta. In the background runs spotify and airfoil.

I did some tweaks like raising the Virtual Memory, or the Ram usage by the graphic card. I hope you have a idea, to fix it. Thanks!!

Does this happen with any other programs or just KODI
If it happens with other programs might be a windows memory addressing issue not directly linked to KODI.
Can you try uninstall and re-install of some drivers, or attempt a repair on windows installation via bootable recovery media.

Double-check your pagefile settings and make sure it is on Automatic (also do you have plenty free space on the drive set as pagefile?)

What on earth are you running on that PC? I use an old Core 2 Quad with Win 8.1 and 4GB of RAM and never get that kind of warning. Used to leave 14.2 running for days without hiccup. Now running 15 Beta 2

Do a CTRL+ALT+DEL and check that this really is KODI chomping the RAM and not some other misbehaving program.

OP hasn't been back in a month, so he either fixed it or gave up. Since he's running 32 bit Kodi on x64 windows, he should have a total of 4 Gb VM available for Kodi process. I just looked at an install of 14.1 that's been running for a few days, and it has a memory commit of 932Mb, which seems a bit high with Kodi just idling, but no where near its commit limit.

Thanks for your postings.i really tried everything to fix that problem.

@BatterPudding: Just Kodi, Spotify and Airfoil are idling in the background, nothing else.
@Scott967: Right, i have a total of 4 GB, but that was not enough, the error occured every time.

I fixed that problem with a simple Windows 10 Pro upgrade. Never ever got that problem again. Maybe a rare bug in windows or Kodi, i dont know.

Thanks a lot for your help!
