I use a MediaPortal backend and record a fair amount of stuff to watch later.

I would love to be able to display the recordings the same way movies or TV shows are displayed, i.e. art work, cast crew info etc - this would look really great.

I don't this its possible at the moment (correct me if I'm wrong)...

PVR works in a weird way that doesn't integrate with the normal local library. The common workaround is to add the location of the recordings and just scan them in a second time using the normal library update.

However, in the future it will be possible to use the media-import work to have the PVR entries mesh with the local library without any redundant scanning. This is great, since all that data is already there from the EPG, so there's no need to scan it twice. You might have heard us talking about the media-import project in relation to UPnP sharing improvements, but it's actually a lot bigger than just UPnP, and allows for proper library integration for PVR, add-ons, other server software, and more.
