Ask google maybe - they don't expose it to android developers in a generic manner.

It's a "API" in Android but not all are properly doing it correctly. As such it needs way more testing before we will include it.

official 4K will be in Android M. Koying now did a "hack" to get it working.
Audio passthrough will be done as well (normal + HD).
AudioFormat.ENCODING_DTS
AudioFormat.ENCODING_DTS_HD

We only can't use that yet due to how we handle audio packages.
We already installed Android M and Kodi couldn't start because of a bug in the system lib. After talking to the right people it was fixed and they confirmed Kodi starting. Now only need to wait for the second preview to start hacking Smile
