The Pi 2 is easy, Fire TV is easy, heck even the Chromebox has a script named "EZ".

They are all easy, it really depends on your preference and what you feel most comfortable with. I would suggest that you use one of the more common devices so you can ask for help if needed though.

The term easy is all relative, what you really want is the best support. YOu cant get better than the pi2 for that with so many users there is so much information available so idf you hit any problems your bound to find the answer with a quick search!

You could say the same thing about the Chromebox or the Fire TV.

It's more about what you want the device to do. For that start here: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=94268

Easy of setup for any device is going to depend on how well you can follow instructions, since most everything has well documented guides.

It really does not get any easier than buying a NOOBS micro SDHC card with a RPi2 Kit.

Steps:
1. Connect all the RPi bits together, remember to deeply inhale as you unwrap the RPi2 to fully appreciate the fresh tangy Raspberry Smell Wink
2. Insert the NOOBS micro SDHC card into the slot.
3. Connect HDD
3. Watch this video... then plug in the power.

4. Select OpenElec (a RPi version of Kodi) and install
5. If you have a HDMI-CEC control compatible TV, you can control Kodi using your TV remote.
The HDMI-CEC hardware is already built into the RPi2

I agree all are easy to setup. I have a Chromebox and a pi2 I found information easier to find for the pi. Don't get me wrong the Chromebox was really easy to setup using matt's instructions for ez setup. I've not tried a fire TV yet but I'm sure its very easy to use

Buy and Android box. I have the Matricom G-Box Q.

Was easy to setup and get working. Buddy of mine has the SkyStreamX he loves it. I have not used it in person.

I like it as its just something I can plugin and it works. I have built servers and home pc's before but the cost and ease of use make them good choices. I priced out a pi2 with parts and it was nearly the same cost as the Matricom G-Box Q so I went with that. The Firetv retails around the same price you will have to look at them and see which one is better for your needs.

Recommending a Media Box full of Banned Add-Ons, not your best effort at all buddy !
Maybe you should read the forum rules before typing.

No support for this device will be given here on the forums if you go down this route.
