Stay away from dongles and android boxes that offer free movies/tv its not only illegal but nowt supported for any type of discussion. You wont get any help from community or Kodi team with any of that.

I am very happy with my Raspberry Pi 2. It took a bit of setup to get it where I wanted it, but it was rather inexpensive and does everything I want. I tried a bunch of different Linux based installs on it but found openelec to be the easiest in the end.

Correct so far.....except he's talking about some DVB-T dongles which are able to receive local terrestrial TV. As far as I know, only the device (set-top box, dongle etc.) is needed to buy.

Week Play if you want a nicely integrated Kodi / TV device that is well supported and can be optioned with all sorts of TV tuners. It even runs Android in a dual boot config.
Best remote control design you are ever likely to see as well.
