Debug Log please, without one forget it, no one can do anything for you since we dont have the same setup or issue.

Ill agree with you, that is a strange one, maybe you have a shy speaker Smile

Have the same problem after I upgraded to Ubuntu 15.04. Tried numerous suggestions, nothing seemed to work.
Found that 2.1 would supply dialogue, then discovered that all my 5 speakers where working using 2.1.
Not sure if I'm getting true 5.1 surround sound. Let me know if you find a solution.
Intel NUC, Kodi 14.2, Ubuntu Vivid

If you are not sure, you probably don't need it ..

Btw. as you might have not guessed ... without a Debug Log no one can help you and no one can help the OP. As this seems to be the new trend, that users are posting three lines of text in combination with a bit of whining I think I will just close such threads in the future as invalid. These are wasting everybody's time.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Update to beta2. Beta1 misses the audio enumeration.
