Artifacts reproducing a Xvid/avi file
#1
Hi,
I'm experiencing severe corruption when I try to reproduce an avi file.
The video is properly rendered with MMAL & OXM acceleration disabled. It plays fine on my Windows 7 laptop.

Here is the test file: Test file

My setup: Raspberry pi 2, usb wifi dongle, HDD connected via USB, PSU 5 V 2.5 A, OSMC RC3.

Any advice?

Thank you, Epg1.

Mediainfo tell you:
Code:
Format settings, GMC                     : 3 warppoints
You should read this and make sure GMC is disabled on any future encodes.

Fortunately most encodes with GMC are old and low resolution so we can decode them with hardware acceleration disabled.
You can manually disable hardware acceleration and then play the file,
or you can use a nightly/Isengard Milhouse build which can identify these files and disable hw acceleration automatically.

Thank you, I'll wait for this nice Isengard's feature Smile
