System.Exec switches my standalone XBMC to windowed mode
#1
I added a "Command" to my (Debian stable) XBMC which lets me run dvdbackup using "System.Exec" (since I still haven't found any plugin that does that directly). It kind of works, except for the fact that running anything with "System.Exec" causes XBMC to switch from fullscreen to windowed mode.

Of course, this makes no sense in my case since I'm running "xbmc-standalone", so there's no other "windows" with which to share the screen real-estate.

How can I prevent that (e.g. either prevent System.Exec to go to windowed mode, or more generally prevent windowed mode altogether)?

does the command you run require a window manager?

No, and since I'm running xbmc-standalone (from systemd) I don't have a window-manager, so it makes no sense to ever switch to "windowed" mode.
