kodibuntu 14.2 (7cc53a9) running on Intel i3 NUC
Mediaportal 1.11.0.0

I started this thread http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=229284 and then tested by just playing the files directly and also experienced crashes, which rather rules out the mediaportal pvr plugin

The problem only occurs with HD .ts files, I have not seen any issues with SD .ts files

Any suggestions on how I can resolve this would be appreciated

update at least vaapi driver from my ppa. Using kodi 15, beta2 is recommended as well. see http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=165707
