Release ESPN 3
Truly amazing.
Thanks are no longer enough!

Menus look much better with Apple TV content. I can confirm everything works great with Comcast.

Amazing work here guys. I noticed in my log whenever I play an item, it looks like ESPN3 is going through other addon cookies (at least that's what it looks like to my half trained eye). Attached is my log, I see invalid cookie errors following a video selection from the espn3 addon. More specifically, it looks at my cbsnews.com cookies when the error occurs.

NOTE: I have not entered any login information. Apple TV Content tree

I'm also seeing some links not working. Sometimes I will exit Kodi, come back in and try them again with success. Still trying to pinpoint a good recreate for this right now. Anyone else experience links not working say in Sports Center > Related Video.

Odroid-C1+ OpenELEC 6.95.9 http:// http://forum.odroid.com/viewtopi...14&t=16093
ESPN3 addon Version: 1.2.4 works fine

Odroid-C1+ OpenELEC 7.0.0 - Kodi Jarvis 16.1 Final
ESPN3 addon Version: 1.2.4 failed to open "any" video file.

I was directed from the Odroid forum to https://github.com/awaters1/plugin.video...master.zip which I believe is ESPN3 version 2.4.0. After installing from .zip, I got the verify/register with internet provider (twc) which I did.

There were actually a "few" video clips (uninteresting) that played, but not any sporting events current or past would open.

The log file seems large for just accessing the ESPN3 addon. http://xbmclogs.com/pk2dfiq5t

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
However, all's not lost. My OpenELEC 7.0 is on an eMMC and I have OpenELEC 6.95.9 on a micro SD with a working ESPN3 version 1.2.4 so I can watch ESPN3 if there is something I just have to see.

Thank You & Have a great day
Ken

@mrdally204: Those cookies are from cURL which isn't related to this plugin. All the links work for me, try using the latest from master.

@kvetter OpenELEC has some issues with SSL Certs as mentioned by http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=...pid2335998
URLError: <urlopen error [SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed (_ssl.c:590)>

There is an advanced option to ignore SSL certificates but I haven't tested it

Excellent!! Went to Configure>Settings ESPN3>Advanced tab> Disable SSL Certificate checks (unsafe) & highlighted the radio button . . . I am now streaming past streams from ESPN3. For a stream that is not to start for another 15 minutes I get the splash screen ESPN your event is about to begin please stand by. ALL seems to be good.

Just a quick look, for those of us, who just stream ESPN3, the old "legacy" menu seems to be more useful.

Thank you!

Does 1.2.4 work for you with TWC ISP? Are you subscribed to their cable services as well?

Yes we are subscribers with TWC. We have a basic TV package with ESPN, ESPN2 & internet.

Yes. running on Odroid-C1+ OpenELEC 6.95.9 ESPN3 addon ver 1.2.4 works.

after upgrading to Odroid-C1+ OpenELEC 7.0.0 ESPN3 addon ver 1.2.4 failed.

FIX, installed https://github.com/awaters1/plugin.video...master.zip "ver 1.4.0 ?" Registered device with TWC. In settings>Advanced, turned on ignore SSL.

Doesn't look like it is getting the authentication information & cookies from you userdata directory. When you click authentication details, what is the information displayed? Try to use the latest version from github and re-authenticate if necessary.

Code:

I deauthorized, and re-authorized and still getting the same error (I'm on SlingTV if that matters, and confirmed I can watch through their app).

I don't know if that would be of any help but I had the exact same issue.
I had used the add-on flawlessly for about a week but three days ago, I could not get any stream to work as well.
Did a re-install and then I could not even get into the add-on itself.
I totally wiped out both folders (ESPN3 add-on folder & ESPN3 add-on data folder).
Re-installed, was able to get into the add-on again and re-registered the device and it worked again.
The reason for the original failure is unknown.

Yep, that worked! Maybe something was cached somewhere preventing the auth to update. Thanks!!
