I have installed this on a couple of machines and they both have the same issue.

Kodi seems to become unresponsive for upto 40 seconds at a time while the machine thrashes the disk ? What on earth is it doing !

Enable debugging in kodi see Debug Log, restart kodi while in debug, duplicate issue and pastebin the complete log.
