nice size for price, could be good for openelec install? I like the colour purple lol

USB 3.0 reads up to 55MB/sec
USB 3.0 reads up to 10MB/sec
EDIT: after some more research, I think this information is untrue and found these of another site
Read speed: up to 91.4MB/s for 10GB file or 57.9 seconds for 1,000 5MB files*
Write speeds: up to 18.8MB/s for 10GB file or 279.5 seconds for 1,000 5MB files*

Slightly confused by :
Quote:USB 3.0 reads up to 55MB/sec
USB 3.0 reads up to 10MB/sec

Should one of them be a write?

Both are quite slow for USB drives. I'm quite a big fan of Lexar S75s.

I've got a couple of 32GB ones I use :

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lexar-Profession...usb+3+32GB
Quote: 32GB in orange (up to 150MB/s read, 60MB/s write)

Half the capacity - but quite a lot faster?

sorry that was an amazon blunder so I've done some research and according to this

http://www.7dayshop.com/products/philips...64FD75B/10
Read speed: up to 91.4MB/s for 10GB file or 57.9 seconds for 1,000 5MB files*
Write speeds: up to 18.8MB/s for 10GB file or 279.5 seconds for 1,000 5MB files*

AMAZON PLUS REVIEWS
Quote:Just over 100MBytes/sec average read...Peak read was about 350Mbytes/sec
Quote: really fast with transfer speeds of around 320Mbps.

I would say given the decent reviews that the 100MBytes/sec is more likely, if so then this is definetly the better deal IMO. also considering its a decent brand philips the slow read write I posted earlier seem improbable

I have the Lexar JumpDrive 16GB USB 3.0, I like the lexar USB. All things considering I would go for the Philips over the Lexar, today
will you re consider noggin?

I recently took a chance on one of these for £12:99 from 7dayshop

http://www.7dayshop.com/products/grixx-u...B64GBALUU3

I can't comment on its long term usage as I've only had it a few days,
I've only tried it out on my Surface 3 so far but its given a healthy 57 MB/s when writing video files to it, a fair bit faster than the Philips one linked to

To be honest I'm always a bit dubious about Philips products these days - as they sold off their brand to various companies for different product lines, and don't make (or even badge engineer) anywhere near as much stuff as they used to.

For instance Philips-branded TVs in Europe are made by TP Vision now, and in the US they are made by Funai. This isn't Philips sub-contracting manufacture or design - they've sold the brand.
