I have just loaded Kodi 14.2 onto an M8 android box. Audio is present but cannot get any video whatsoever, what am I missing?

I'm used to MX111 without any problems!!

Try going to Kodi -> Settings -> Videos -> Acceleration -> and disable "amcodec" but keep mediacodec and stagefright enabled.

Tried Neds suggestion, still no video. Any other ideas?

Try a different hdmi lead , i also had that issue , the film would load but lose picture after 20mins,pulled hd lead out and put it bk in and it was ok , id also upgrade to 15lsengard , much better on the m8

Just upgrade to the Kodi version here which is very nearly the finished version of Kodi 15.0 Isengard:
