v14 [AFTV] Internal flash memory to store media files?
#1
Question
Hello!

Is it possible to use the internal flash memory of my [non-rooted] AFTV to store my videos so they play faster without stutters or lag?

My situation is fairly simple: I have a promotional video set to repeat infinitely so clients may watch it while waiting in the office. However, because I am using a usb flash drive to store that video (which, to my understanding, is slower than the internal memory -- hence my issue), it lags and stutters occasionally. It also glitches out at the very end as it starts to repeat again; the screen goes all fuzzy and linear for a second then starts over again.

Is there a better solution to repeating a video without the buffering/rendering issues?

Any help would be appreciated; I just got Kodi setup on this box and I'm very new to the whole thing. Thanks.

If the video file fits on the internal memory, sure.
You would need a way to copy the file there, see http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=211560

I use ES File explorer to copy files from my NAS. Which by the way I also play all my videos from with no issues. So there is got to be something else going on with your setup.

I'll try that when I go in tomorrow, thanks for the help!

When you say your videos have no issues, where are those videos on the FTV? Are they in the internal memory or usb? I'm wondering if I just got a crappy flash drive.
