I also get artifacts on 720p50 channels.

When setting Deinterlacing to auto, all is fine.

Are you overclocking? If so try disabling.
Otherwise a screenshot or photo of the artefacts would be useful.

Here's a short video of the artefacts.

I'd suggest you remove:
Code:
v3d_freq=400
sdram_freq=400
from config.txt
Looks better now, but artefacts are still there.

I can also see this same issue. Not present with OMX acceleration Enabled
Only when using MMAL

Live TV, 1080 H264 stream

https://youtu.be/d33pn9GX6mw

Issue can be observed at;
4sec
16sec
42sec
44sec
51sec

[EDIT]
It is in fact also happening with OMX enabled, just not as often. I have only seen 3x glitches in 15 minutes with OMX whereas with mmal there was 5x in 1 minute

Can you add:
Code:
over_voltage=2
Is there anyway perhaps to make LiveTV (and playing back .ts recordings) use OMX and the analog output, whilst the rest defaults to MMAL and the DAC+?

That would at least enable my brother to use LiveTV with the lower quality analog output, until such time as MMAL can be made to work with LiveTV/.ts files and benefit from the higher quality audio from the DAC+ when watching movies/listening to music.

It's the same with over_voltage=2

Can try try over_voltage=4?
Or:
Can you try disable_auto_turbo=1?

@doveman2 test if your seeking hang is fixed.

@popcornmix:
Is there a way to solve the misplaced subs for the RPi2 15.1 builds?
I've got a lot of them in PVR but can't update to the Kodi 16 builds on RPi2 of my children and wife.
Or is 16 stable enough for day to day usage?

Thanks!

The subs fix has been backported to Isengard so will be in next OE stable build.
I use 16 for day to day usage and it's mostly stable, but there will be occasional breakages.

I tried both settings together and each alone.
No change.

mmal half works.

Do you know anyone else with a pi2?
I would be interested if your sdcard, power supply, TV and peripherals doesn't have these artefacts with a different pi.
