OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0)
The builds before #0908 had ass sub issues too,I have tested build #0821/#0901/#0904/0907, but a little different, the sub displayed ok,after about 100 minutes I played movie with ass sub(2line) PI2 became to freezed, all I can do is reboot it. with srt sub, it's fine no freeze at all. (GPU Memory 256MB)

Question: bcmstat.sh is reporting your sdram_freq @ 400MHz (default on Pi2 is 450MHz) - have you applied the default Pi1 sdram_freq of 400MHz on your Pi2? Or is this a detection error in bcmstat.sh, can you paste your config.txt?
I'm pretty sure it will likely be my mess up with the sdram freq. I'll check the config.txt when I get home.
I'm certain I originally copied the configurations from the pi1 when initially setting up the pi2 and then just changed the overclock values.
It's quite possible that I missed this one.

[EDIT}
Yes, after checking, I have indeed left sdram_freq at 400MHz. so no worry on the detection in bcmstat

Playback of a tv show without any subs at all resulted in no leakage at all.
284MB free GPU at start of playback & 284MB free GPU at end of playback 20mins later

Milhouse, popcornmix (and any other dev working on this), just want to say again that you guys are doing awesome work on RPi2. Thanks!

I got problem about mouse pointer.
Hardware mouse pointer doesn't exact position under input box. GUI key button highlighted but pointer stay previous position for a while(very long).
I'm having an issue with the trakt add-on since build #0910.

I've described the issue in a private discussion with the author (razze): https://teamkodi.slack.com/archives/gene...5885005656 (Team members only), see 02:34
Basically, I have it configured to rate videos after watching. It shows a custom dialog to do so and then waits for the user to rate it or close the dialog.
Since build #0910 the dialog is not shown, but the add-on thinks it is and then sits there indefinitely, so it basically stop working (scrobble, manual sync, etc. It really is waiting for the dialog). GUI is fully usable as no dialog is shown at all.
It might need a few tries to reproduce (you can fast forward near the end).

Seems a bit difficult to track it down, as build #0910 has lots of commits and files changed, but you guys might have an idea...

Edit: the dialog I'm talking about is this:
https://github.com/trakt/script.trakt/bl...ing.py#L97
https://github.com/trakt/script.trakt/bl...ng.py#L154
Never used trakt before, I'll try installing it later today. Complete guess, but could it be PR7800?

Hello,

I tested it with nightly build on windows and the subtitle is working good. I just have the video half cut because kodi on windows can't handle 3D MVC MKV.

I made some other tests on my raspberry and the subtitle is ok when I deactivate "stereoscopic mode", kodi is just playing the file like a classic 2D file (ignoring the MVC stream). So I have the problem only in 3D stereoscopic and 2D monoscopic mode.

I tested older builds and last openelec beta and I have the same problem.

Confirmed that the GPU memory leak with Embedded ASS Subs is no longer present in build 914

Looks like the significant commits were all merges to kodi master. Can you reproduce it on another kodi platform. E.g. nightly build on windows/linux?

I've rebuilt #0910 and reproduced the issue. I then reverted PR7800, rebuilt #0910, and now the trakt rating is working. The only difference between the two builds being the presence or omission of PR7800.

Here are the debug logs when watching Falling Skies 5x10, seeking to the end, and then waiting for the Trakt Rating dialog to appear:
#0910a - with PR7800, dialog doesn't appear
#0910b - without PR7800, dialog does appear

This is the part in the debug log where the non-working build #0910a attempts to load the Ratings dialog:

The non-working version (with PR7800) seems to perform a "Window Deinit ()" on the Ratings dialog without actually displaying it, which presumably the add-on is unaware of and so it waits for input that never comes - either a bug introduced by PR7800, or a new behaviour in Kodi which the addon now needs to take account of?
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.
Debugging the call to gui.doModal(), it appears that in #0910a (ie. the non-working version) the gui.doModal() call succeeds, but doesn't display anything so at that point the add-on is "stuck" wiating for the gui.doModal() call to complete.

With PR7800 included, the Kodi doModal() method appears to be defective, or has a different behaviour that now needs to be accounted for - ping @Paxxi ?

Build 914

Thought i had noticed it a couple of times but didn't think anything of it.
At start of playback sometimes I'm just presented with a black video screen.
Sometimes it stays as a black screen for a second or two, audio starts but video does not, then a few seconds later the video resumes from the correct point.
Sometimes it just stays on a black screen indefinetly.

Here is a log.
http://pastebin.com/rNdj8XdZ

If it gets stuck at the beginning of the file indefinetely I can seek forwards which will continue playback as normal.

Image

[EDIT]
This appears to only affect OMX acceleration
When trying to load the same episode with MMAL it begins playback of both audio & video immediately

What is the best way to cut a sample file down.
Opening the file in question in VLC will begin playback normally (in.mkv)
Code:
ffmpeg -i in.mkv -ss 0 -t 30 -c:v copy -c:a copy out.mkv
results in a 30second file which will not begin playback until 7 seconds in VLC
Code:
ffmpeg -ss 00 -i in.mkv -t 30 -c:v copy -c:a copy out.mkv
results in a 30second file which plays back correctly on both VLC & the Pi2

[EDIT2]
Now I'm not so sure weather I just have some damaged files.
Original File "In.mkv" is causing issues with OMX
running
Code:
ffmpeg -i in.mkv -c:v copy -c:a copy out2.mkv
correct me if I'm mistaken but doesnt the above command just literally bitstream the audio & video directly into out2.mkv
out2.mkv is 4kb smaller than in.mkv and has no issues playing back with OMX on the pi

Any idea when you first saw this? I'd be intested if it coincided with switch to VideoPlayer.
