I did visit MINIX forum and found one suggestion which is to delete GUISETTINGS.XML.
I did that and I have two news to share with you. one good one not so.
the good news is that now the picture is normal (not zoomed in).
the not so good one is that the picture does not appear on the whole screen: there are two black bars on the left and right sides.
what is strange though is that the black bars appear on certain live channels only. for example when I watch Aljazeera or RT it is fine but on other channels
