Installing add-on from zip file error ?
#1
Question
I Have a Minix-H8 android box with kodi helix
but installing (some) zip files gives me always an error.
Im also on a mac, if that can help

In Dutch
Afhankelijkheden ontbreken contacteer add-on manager

In English (google translate)
Missing Dependencies, contact add-on manager

Trying to install from some repositorys gives me nothing,
Because i dont have the kodi repository etc.... Searched for some add-ons give me no result....
Dont ask me to add a log because there is nothing wrong with the machine
And its not recording log files by trying to install a zip file

Then you will receive no help at all. Debug Log is required.

OMG 3 days.

I already for several years..... Seriously what's the point of asking for help if you can't even provide the basic needs.

Because DEBUG logging dont work on my Minix-H8
Otherwise i did it allready, i even dont have the original Kodi Respory where everybody is talking about

There just has to be 1 single person who had that same problem Huh
3 years because you are a developer, im just a user who want to enjoy this software.

Anyway will try again this eve about debugging.
But i cant even restart kodi man, very very new to this

So what happens when you add 'special://logpath' as a source in Kodi File Manager?
What do you see in there?

There is no such directory made by kodi....

It's not a real directory.
Did you add the address to kodi file manager, as described in the wiki?

Force a Repository Refresh:

Kodi always records a log file. Don't assume it's not recording a file just because you are unable to locate it. The wiki tells you how to upload the file using an add-on, so you don't even have to locate it (Log file/Easy (wiki)).

However, this is all moot point. The error message already gives us the answer, and that is you are trying to install add-ons that are not compatible. If you want to use those add-ons then your only option is to contact the person who made them and ask them for help.

Please don't link to this site, as the main reason it even exists violates our forum rules (wiki). I'd rather not drive any traffic to them from kodi.tv. The wiki already has force refresh instructions, in the event that is of any help: http://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on_manager#Force_refresh

wiki needs updating for 15.0 as force refresh doesn't exist any more. Just hit "check for updates"
