I am using release candidate 1 with Kodibuntu. Is pvr.wmc support to be built into the Linux version of Isengard? If it is, I can't find it.... and of course understandably 14.2 - the helix download (.108) doesn't work (dependencies not met).

Starting with isengard you need to manually install the pvr wmc add-on. Check under settings, add-on, all repositories, pvr. I think that is the right location but I don't have it in front of me.

That is what I thought, but when I go to add-on, all repositories... there is no 'pvr' category. When I try to enable live TV, it tells me

"No PVR add-ons could be found". In Helix this would enable the PVR category to be seen, then I could choose to add pvr.wmc.


Am I suppose to add an 'Add-on Repository'? Maybe I missed that.....


OKAY----- Figured it out. The Wiki is outdated. http://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO:Install_Kodi_for_Linux

To get the PVR.WMC add-on type:

sudo apt-get install kodi-pvr-wmc

after that, went into Kodi, under add-on, search 'wmc'.

Enable the add-on

Goto TV, and enable live TV.

Now it just works. Thanks sbthomas for getting my thinking on the right track!
