MythTv IPTV supports HTTP streams?
#1
Hi!

At the moment I am building a homesystem with IPTV in a primary mythbackend server. With my frontend machine which runs Kodi Helix 14.2 & MythTv PVR addon I am connected to the primary backend. On the primary backend I have scanned an m3u file with IPTV channelstreams. All the streams are http and not the usual UDP/RTP.

My Kodi client imports all the channels + epg successfully, but when I'm trying to open a channel it tells me "channel unavailable".

I'm guessing MythTv can't play HTTP streams? Only UDP/RTP?
Is it possible for mythtv to play the HTTP streams?

Thanks in advance. Blush

Please ask those type of questions on the MythTV forums as it doesnt have anything to do with Kodi, and is more about the mythtv backend. --> https://forum.mythtv.org/

Also, I would test using mythfrontend first, just to rule out front end issues. If it works there and not in kodi, then could be a kodi problem. If it doenst work there, then its a mythtv issue

Cheers!
