Amlogic S905 has an Quad-Core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU and is the first 64-bit ARM SoC available from Amlogic, with this S905 being meant to replace their 32-bit S805 SoC.

Most noticible upgrade other than 64-bit processor is HDMI 2.0 output up to 4K/2160p @ 60Hz or 3D-HD 1080Px2 and 10-bit HEVC (H.265) hardware decode.

New soc + new sdk (lollipop) = quite a bit of time before having a stable box, I'm afraid.

They do claim "3D-HD 1080Px2" which I assume must mean single frame Full HD 3D (FHD3D) = 2 x 1080p 3D as TAB (Top-And-Bottom) or SBS (Side-By-Side) at 24 fps?

Don't know about if it supports HD-audio, does S805 and/or S812 as the previous generation support HD-audio? If they do not surley S805 and S812 must do it too?

The S812 MINIX NEO X8-H apparently does with VidOn XBMC if you pay $15 per year for the privilege.
I don't think it can support proper sync of 23.976fps video and HD Audio at the same time tho.

Never heard of it. It looks like a run of the mill S805 box that is just like every other S805 out there.

The ENY EM6Q and later EM6Q-MXQ we're reviewed on the cnx-software.com late last year. Their popularity is backed by the very healthy support over on FreakTab. (yes there are many variations, mostly clones of those models)
Whilst not being the last word in Do-It-All HomeCinema media boxes, they're very capable, cheap and stable boxes.

ENY will probably be the first with a S905 based box out later this year (and then hopefully a S912 based model)

You can guarantee, I will be asking detailed questions and really annoy you - if you do not test the core Kodi functions of this device.
You had better brush up on what they actually are in the Audio and Video settings of Kodi.

As Koying said, its all in the Firmware. Rubbish Firmware from some developer who does not know what they are doing = rubbish box, regardless of the flashy tech specs.

but my experiences. this company product is total reliable.
Previous one works without problem more than one year.
