I am running openelec on Raspberry Pi 2 wired directly into Ethernet connection. Multi-channel audio files (surround mixes) on my home network stutter CONSTANTLY and are unlistenable. It was my impression the Raspberry Pi could handle these types of files...any ideas as to why these are causing so much trouble? Thanks for any help!

Ok, will do when I get home later tonight. Was puzzling to me since 1080p surround movies don't seem to stutter at all, only the multichannel audio files...

dvdplayer expects high data rates and so buffers a lot of data.
paplayer expects low data rates and doesn't buffer data.
High samplerate/multichannel audio can have high bitrates and so requires buffering.

Ok. Same files play fine without any issues on my HTPC also running Kodi so thought there may be something unique to the Raspberry Pi build that I would have to consider since I am relatively new to that platform.
