Linux Video tearing
#1
Hi!
I have an Intel Core i5 with no video board, on Ubuntu 15.04 x86_64.
And when I open Kodi it starts tearing, a central horizontal line, even in the menu.

VLC anyway works fine.
What's wrong? Do I have to install any kind of codec?

Thanks!

running under unity? Compositing window managers do not allow refresh rate switching and force tripple buffering, which interferes with kodi. Turn off compositing for full screen windows and try again. Even better, use the kodi desktop session.

I'm under Unity, yes, but I'm actually a newbie, both for Ubuntu and for Kodi... do you have a link or something else that explain how to turn off compositing? I search on google for it, but probably I didn't use the correct keyword... Undecided

Thanks again!
