[split] Renaming the Github repo

@natethomas Have you guys considered asking for/buying the github.com/kodi account? This would make the rename complete Smile

no because its the xbmc foundation with the kodi product. thats why it is github.com/xbmc ... the only thing that would make sense to rename is the project so that it reads github.com/xbmc/kodi instead of github.com/xbmc/xbmc.

But really - what do people even care? Its just cosmetic and a rename would eventually invalidate a couple of hundred forks of other github users just for kicks.

When a repo is renamed in github, github keeps a redirect from the previous name to the new one so it should not pose a problem for forks or for people using the old link.

The only advantage I see is increased clarity for someone searching github for "kodi". But apart from that, yeah, pretty much cosmetic.

The rename would invalidate not a single fork, github creates nice aliases nowadays

Dont see the point, for most users they wont see or know a difference, for the others they will have it bookmarked or link from kodi.tv.
