I ran into some problems. I recently did both a kodi upgrade from 14.1 rc I think to 15.0. However, I also upgraded my catalyst drivers as well right before it (serves me for cutting corners).
Now I launch kodi and it runs ok, however the second I try to launch a video the UI freezes yet I can still hear sound. After that I can even press X and the sound stops but I cant seem to do anything else. End task is required to shut kodi down at this point. I tried switching skin to confluence and I tried messing around with some of the sound/video devices within kodi without success. First log details this, after further experimentation I saw that some videos do play and the problems may be limited to mkv or MP4 video files since per the second log I was able to play an avi file correctly before I crashed it with an mkv. Windows Version = 7 Ultimate - SP1 - 64bit
CPU/Architecture = AMD A6-3500

I had the same problem recently, this is my post http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=232340:
It turns out, that there is a problem with version 15 of the catalyst driver. None of the videos that can be rendered with hardware breaks.
I downloaded version 14 and reinstalled after removing the new one. This solves all my problems.
Be careful not to uninstall all the chipset drivers.

I hope AMD gets this resolved soon....

Thanks for the rep. Though I'm still wondering what is wrong between the driver and kodi. Since I didn't have any problems with windows itself or with the few games I tried. But it must directly connected to the hardware acceleration.
