v15 Can't SSH in fresh KODI (OpenELEC)
#1
I'm not sure, if this is a OpenELEC or KODI problem.

I have setup a fresh copy of KODI OpenELEC-RPi.arm-5.95.3.img.gz for my Raspberry Pi.
KODI is booting, connects fine to the internal network.

I can connect with FileZilla and copy some screenshots from the Rasperry Pi to my local windows harddisc without any problem (user: root and default passwort for OpenELEC)

But I can not open an SSH connection with Putty.
I just get a blank empty screen if I try to open 192.168.1.114 and port 22.

The SSH service is activated (doublechecked, rebooted).

What should I check or set to get a working Putty SSH connection?

By accident, today a new version of Putty was released: http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtat...nload.html
This new version informed me immediately after connecting to my Raspberry Pi about a 'potential security breach', because of mismatching host key.

In my case, this is absolutely fine, because the same IP address delivered another (older) KODI installation before.
Once I pressed YES (I know, I trust, I'm sure, I want it), everything works fine and I get the login prompt as expected. I can enter the username and password without any problem.

I have no idea why this new rsa2 key fingerprint didn't appear in the previous Putty with a 'security breach' hint.
