Hi,

I'm new here and have read a lot about 3d.sbs, 3d.tab and the new feature full 3d mvc frame-packed. But I've problems and not all is function..

I use 3 movies for testing
1. 3d sbs with suffix .3d.sbs.mkv
2. 3d tab with suffix .3d.tab.mkv
3. 3d mkv (mvs created with makemkv) with suffix 3d.mkv

My config is
- stereoscope mode off
- support mvc enabled
- use full HD HDMI mode disabled

Result
1 and 2 works well, my tv use correct 3d mode and the movie plays in 3d, after viewing the 3d mode finished
3 don't work as aspected, it plays in 2d and the tv shows no incoming 3d signal

Config change
- use full HD HDMI mode enabled

Result
1 and 2 freezes, I got always a black screen
3 no change, it plays in 2d and the tv shows no incoming 3d signal

I can't find the config trick to send the frame packed information from mvc
Hope you can help me. I want full 3d from mkv/mvc, a cool must have killer feature

For the 3 to work you need to use a recognisable by kodi filename flag.

The .3d flag that you used ain't such, .3d.sbs would be fine - regardless if the file isn't actually sbs.

It works Strange, but true.
Hope "3d.sbs" or similar is only a workaround and I can use a better suffix for my mvc in future.

You can set up your own trigger by adding a regex in advancedsettings.xml. For Mord information search in the Kodi wiki....
