Hi,
I'm a new user of Kodi on Linux (LinuxMint).
Is it possible, when watching a movie, to advance by 30 seconds steps ? (more or less)
I can only go faster forward.
(VLC can do that, and it's very useful for me.)
Thank you for your help (and sorry for my bad english)

it depends on the Kodi version you are running. With Kodi 15 Isengard "adaptive seeking" has been born. This is exactly what you are looking for.

this has been possible since ages on xbmc and kodi. You just have to use the correct button mapping, if your remote just uses FF/RW for arrow keys.
Keyboards have this mapped to left/right arrow for small skips, up/down for large skips.
As David said, in kodi 15, the skip function has been changed to get incrementally larger the more often you press it.

Curious thing about adaptive seeking (I think a bug) set delay to 0 and it no longer is additive
