my rp1 has a long history of freezing(no OC)
trying to solve that i moved openelec to NFS
ip=# boot=NFS=#:/mnt/SD disk=NFS=#/mnt/disk ssh

on /mnt/SD i tryed 5.0.8 and 5.95.3
this solved the freezing problem but i got a new problem
kodi crashes
i found a stress test for rp at roylongbottom
my rp1 pass all the tests but after i restarted it i found that all partitions wer corrupted both on local SD and in the NFS
i had to reimag all of them
i didnt see way kodi crashes on the logs any help finding the problem and fixing is appreciated

Nobody is interested in dropbox links for logs - use a pastebin site (pastebin.com, xbmclogs.com), you can even upload directly from your OpenELEC using ssh:
Code:
paste /storage/.kodi/temp/kodi.log
then paste the link.

I find it rather surprising that files in an NFS partition would be corrupted - there should be absolutely no reason for the Pi to write to the boot partition once the system has booted. Are you sure the partitions are really corrupted, which files were corrupt?

Typically, corruption is due to insufficient power so try a different/better power supply, at least 2Amps. A decent USB cable (ie. fairly chunky/heavy gauge wire, not some thin crap, to avoid excessive voltage drop) between PSU and Pi is also recommended. If your Pi1 is a Model B+ then keep an eye on the red power light - if it goes out, you're experiencing an under-voltage situation. Another B+ under voltage indicator is the appearance of a rainbow coloured square in the top right of the display.

i chainged the logs to xbmclogs.com
on boot i got "kernel panic cant mount NFS "
it was fixed after i dd`ed a new img on the NFS HD
i have a model B, never seen the rainbow coloured square
i did try a different PSU and a 1800ma battery, it didn't help whit the freezing
ill try a 3ed one, wont hurt
edit
i got it to crash 3 time in a row the red light did not blink

Code:
12:56:19 116.804794 T:1968017408  NOTICE: Kodi compiled Jul 15 2015 by GCC 4.9.3 for Linux ARM 32-bit version 4.1.2 (262402)
Code:
12:56:29 127.081360 T:1968017408  NOTICE: Raspberry PI firmware version: Feb  7 2015 19:35:45

That firmware is not correct. I believe it should be:
Code:
12:25:35  10.529239 T:1968218112  NOTICE: Raspberry PI firmware version: Jul  8 2015 18:11:40

Personally I'd try a clean install of OE 5.95.3 without the NFS mount.
Don't install any addons and test if it is reliable when playing local/network files.

Yes, if you use NFS as the boot partition the OpenELEC update procedure will not work, and presumably the OP has cobbled together a system but is now booting with outdated firmware. There really is no reason to "boot" from NFS, and having to upgrade manually is a major downside (particularly if you don't copy all the files).
