Linux Performance on Gigabyte BRIX
#1
Hi,

I've being running XBMC then KODI on my BRIX for some time now (Intel Core i3-3227U CPU @ 1.90 GHz // 8GB Memory).
My BRIX is connected to my TV through an HDMI cable.

I had Ubuntu 12, 14, then 15 recently.

When I run a movies over DLNA, I get a perfect image on my TV with a super neat quality.
However, when I play a movie from KODI and get it rendered by the BRIX, I never achieved the same quality.

I've fixed issues in the past (video tearing : http://jmichelgarcia.com/2014/video-tear...14-04-lts/) but even though I've played with all settings (Hardware acceleration, vsync, video frequency) I never get an image as good as the one processed by the TV over DLNA.

Is there any good tutorial explaining how to optimize the video settings?

Thanks!
