True 1920x1200 resolution
#1
Hi.

I have a monitor with 1920x1200 native resolution. I can select this resolution in kodi settings, but what it really happens is that kodi runs at 1728x1080 and then upscale to 1920x1200.

I think that this is to make it easier to develop and mantain skins, having only 16:9 aspect radio.

I don't neet the extra resolution is the gui, but it would be great for photos, 4:3 aspect videos and avoid downscale un upscale fullhd video.

I'm a raspberry pi kodi user. i'm not sure if this problem is general or Raspberry Pi specific.

Is it posible to run kodi at true 1920x1200 by any settings that i missed?

Thank you and regards.

There is a maximum GUI limit of 1920x1080.
You may be better off setting a 1920x1080 HDMI mode that running at 1920x1200.

I can understand that kodi gui is limited to 1920:1080. But... why they do limit the resolution for pictures (photos) and video playing?

try put this in config.txt

hdmi_group=2
hdmi_mode=69

this will work as 1920x1200 60Hz
