I've seen about a dozen pics and a few videos about games on Kodi. Personally, I think Kodi looks WAY better than Hyperspin (And it's available on Linux 
)! I'd like to start a discussion about tweaking Kodi specifically for use as an arcade front-end. What do you think? Possible? Worth it? I know Kodi works like a charm with a controller (for me at least), so it shouldn't be too hard to have the machine start right into Kodi with the sticks and buttons for menu operation.
I need to find a spare rig to experiment with this. After I do I'll have more to report, but I wanted to start the discussion. Eventually, an arcade-specific version of Kodi would be SWEET! (Or an arcade add-on?)
1. Video menu contains recorded game footage.
2. Music menu contains soundtracks
3. PC games, MAME, NES, SNES, Sega, NeoGeo, PS2, Dolphin emulators in one seamless library. (Maybe Lutris could help?)
4. Good search options for finding the game you want.
5. Online play enabled
6. Support for up to 4 players locally (in compatible games)
What do you think? Are the scrapers sufficient for this? What roadblocks would need to be overcome?
