PVR Client and stand-by status TV server
#1
Hi,

Ik would like to know if the PVR Mediaportal client can cope with a Mediaportal TV Server that goes into hibernation and is not reachable then.
I use the Wake On Lan program in Kodi to get the TV Server out of hibernation.
What i have seen of Kodi is that when activated normally most of the times the TV menu is removed and will only come back if live-tv is de-activated and activated again.
Together with the WOL feature is that not a good working solution. Using WOL from programs menu is acceptable but not having to go to many menu options.
How do others cope with this issue?

Greetings...

Hi, why does that help?

Because with other skins like "Titan" you can define tv shortcuts on the homescreen even without a pvr addon.
So when you start Kodi although the tv backend isn't reachable, it doesn't change the homescreen shortcuts!

Thankyou!

I installed the Amber skin (installed on Raspberry Pi2) and it's working much better now!
