[Syncopation]

Good day, y'all (:

When accessing my music via UPnP, the sorting of the tracks is alphabetically (trackname) instead of using the tracknumber.

Can this be adjusted? Sorting tracks from an album alphabetically isn't a good idea. They should be sorted after the tracknumber. Maybe there are limitations to UPnP I am not aware of?

I'd be thankful if someone with deeper insight into UPnP could elaborate on this.

On a sidenote: why display artist name in album view? Can I hide that? Don't think that's a smart way to display an album.

I'm not sure this is fixed as I'm still getting the same problem. I was originally on 15.1 but upgraded to 15.2 and the issue persisted. I tried clearing my whole music library and recreating it (in Kodi) but still tracks show up in alphabetical order (in multiple UPnP clients.

I've even tried the 16.0 beta 2 but to no avail.

Is there some other setting within Kodi that might affect this?

I am using a Pure Sensia radio to stream from XBMC and find that the tracks are sorted in alphabetical order instead of track order. The track number info is still present as when I select a track is displays the correct track number (I.e. it has NOT changed the track numbers).

Try changing the Music Library sort order in Kodi (Isengard) from 'Name' to 'Track'.

It may be necessary to enable - Settings>Skin>View Options Dialog - to get access to the relevant dialog.

I am using nPlayer on an iPod and an iPad which presents albums in the correct track order when the setting is applied.
