Hi team.

I would like to propose a creation of an addon/plugin/etc, that could enable kodi media center to send the stream its output to a chromecast (are any other streaming device, such as nexus player, easycast, miracast, etc)

Would be nice to enable other tvs in the house to get media from the media center without the need of a physical connection, giving kodi freedom of hardware such as sound cards and video accelerators.

Could even enable kodi media center to be run as Virtual Machine, remotely controlled by kore

Unfortunately I'm not a programmer to build it myself.

I think you should look into emby or plex

They both have server applications that can run headless and they have apps for a lot of the devices you mentioned

Kodi does not transcode so it makes it for the most part incompatible with chromecast.

Both emby and plex transcode and can stream compatible media to any of those low powered devices
