How do I get Kodi to startup and loop the favorites playlist? I tried the confluence setting to startup a playlist on start, but that didnt work, I am not sure if thats because its the favourites.xml or not.

if you want a playlist to start at startup you have to creat it first using "playlists" or "smart playlists". Then in the skin settings, you have to point to the path where the file is stored. After that, playing a playlist at startup works like a charm for me.
