I've currently got a MX android box. This one I think.

Despite Virgin XL broadband (up to 100mb), I still get regular issues with buffering, audio sync issues etc.
I'm currently making my way through the ' Pick the right Kodi box' thread -71 pages of it.
This seems to suggest Chromebox would be the best option for main room?
It needs to stream 1080p without any issue to a TV/Projector and 5.1 / 7.1 audio though my receiever via hdmi.
Happy to try OpenElec instead of Android OS.
Any disadvantages to running a Chromebox?
