Empty error logs

Hi. I'm on Win7, Isengard 15.1

I've had Kodi working fine for about 2 weeks; but yesterday i got an error upon starting Kodi: "Error unable to create application. Exiting"

My logs were empty and i had'nt switched on debugging in gui. So, after following the wiki i put an advancedsetting.xml file in the appdata->kodi->userdata file with the tags, according to the wiki http://kodi.wiki/view/Advancedsettings.xml and a value of 1. Tried starting Kodi again to get the logs but the files were still empty.

Any advice for what i can check?

The syntax in the advanced settings .xml file would be

<advancedsettings>
<loglevel>2</loglevel> <!-- Change this to "1" to hide the on-screen debug log text -->
</advancedsettings>

That might bring some joy... the log file is located C:\Users\Your_Admin_Name_goes_here\AppData\Roaming\Kodi

Hi PatK thanks for the reply.

I removed and installed Kodi again and it has so far (1 day) worked; but more importantly the debugging has been switched on and the log files are now being written to.
