Is there anyway to turn off the genre colours in the tv guide? I don't really use them and I have not idea what the genres the colours map to anyway

As far I know, to turn off genre colors would have to happen in the skin you are using OR by your pvr backend software. I think there are a number of skins that don't use genre coloring - that may be the easiest way.
