I would propose to expand the possibility of having additional artwork.
Let me explain with an example:

movie1.mkv
movie1-poster.jpg
movie1-fanart.jpg
movie1-discart.jpg
movie1-logo.jpg
movie1-banner.jpg
movie1-clearart.jpg
move1.nfo

This for now you can not handle it in this way in native form, but only by using third-party addons.
I wish Kodi automatically take these images and included pointers in its library, expanding the same graphics of the media center.

Kodi has the ability to handle the additional artwork types, but I don't think it currently adds those images to the database based on file name. It needs an add-on to add them to that DB. It would be nice if Kodi could handle it directly, so +1 from me :)

It could be generic, like matching anything that is

<matched_moviename> - <word> . <ext>

Then when a skin wants "clearart" it just looks for all of the "clearart" entries? Maybe?

+1 for me too. This would be a great help without the need of something additional to make it work.
