because of the changes to the website of AdultDVDEmpire, I've done a nearly complete rewrite of the Adult DVD Empire Movie Scraper from the xbmc-adult repository. I'm not very familiar with RegExp, but it works for me. Feel free to download and use it!

Do you want access to the xbmc-adult repo so you can maintain the metadata.movie.adultdvdempire.com plugin on Github?
I used to maintain the metadata scrapers (MrDougQuaid maintains the video streaming plugins) but since I moved onto campus 95% of these sites are blocked and so I'm out of action for the time being.

MrDougQuaid is the owner of the repo, just ping him through github and I'm sure he'll give you access so long as you make sure you run the release scripts before you commit anything.

Hello, I would like to ask why scrapper does not collect data for certain movies?
Eg. Hotel Voyeur (2013)

Alternatively, if you can somehow give a concrete link to the video of which can not handle?

Thanks in advance for the info.

Phew, that'd be a LOT of work! Since every movie is in a separate Folder that contains the name of the movie I wonder if it possible to tell the scraper to simply use the folder name regardless of how many files the folder contain.

Time to update this scrapper again.  Many features no longer functioning.
Was great while it lasted... maybe you can pick it up again?  Thanks very much!

Hi,
could one of the local gurus bring this scraper to life and functionality?
Add support for Marc Dorcel?
CCD.
English is not my mother tongue; please excuse any errors on my part.

Hi,

First of all thanks for all your work and effort developing this scrapper!

I have two questions:

1. Version 3.0.0 is not working for me. While Version 2.1 from the xbmc-adult repository does work without any problems. I am running Kodi 18.9 on OSMC 2020.11-1 on a Rasperry Pi 3B+. With the AdultDVDEmpire Scrapper Version 3.0.0 Kodi is crashing as soon as it starts scanning. Any ideas why this is the case? Do I need Kodi 19.0?

2. As far as I can see the production year of the movie is not considered in the scrapper (in Version 2.1), right? I saved each movie in a seperate folder named <Movie Name> (<Production Year>) as suggested in https://kodi.wiki/view/Naming_video_files/Movies. This causes issues (i.e. wrong assignments), if there are multiple movies with the same name but from different production years (and production companys). I can send you an example via PN, if you want (I am not sure if I am alllowed to post adult links here). Would it be possible to add the production year to the search URL in the scrapper? I figured out how to search for a specific year at AdultDVDEmpire, but I am not familiar with xml or regex to change the code myself.

Kind Regards

This is the log after it crashes:

Any idea, what might be the reason? Does Version 3.0.0 work for anyone?

I think the scraper needs a bit of work. I tried installing it and had problems. It is provided as a rar file instead of a zip file, so I had to manually copy across the files and then enable it.
I tried scraping the movie shown in your log. There was no crash for me, but the movie was not scraped, even though it was found.
I tried using a Parsing NFO file, but I don't think the scraper has been coded to read them.

Unfortunately you will have to wait for @mephisto2k to come on line.
Here is my log. Line 921... https://paste.kodi.tv/ranoqunugo.kodi

You could check TMDB to see if the title is listed there. Also check IMDB and use the Universal Movie Scraper.

Hi,

thanks for your help!

In your log file it says (line 926):

2021-06-26 06:06:15.933 T:13036 ERROR <general>: PCRE: Unknown error: -21

Maybe this is causing the issue?

Kind Regards

I also think it is the issue, and I think it has something to do with the Regex, but not something I am knowledgeable about.

Maybe this is an alternative for you... https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=360299
