Linux OpenELEC Testbuilds for x86 (Kodi 17)
Lol:

system>audio output>toggled between Hda Intel Don Denon avr on hdmi#0 (my default with avr profile ) and Hda Intel , Hmdi #1 and set again Hda Inte don Denon Avr etc

and dts hd ma works perfectly also after restarting kodi

I'm newbie but i suppose is something related to handshake cause i noticed that with avr on often after kodi logo i don't get video until i switch off avr , after getting kodi screen again i can switch on again my avr
Using the Oct 31 build, whenever I reboot it clears my Confluence homescreen video addon shortcuts. Log: http://pastebin.com/LLduiNZZ
Does this happen every time? I've seen it reported before with RPi builds, but it's not consistent or easily reproducible and appears to be a timing issue of some kind.

http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=...pid2087238

When it happens your kodi.old.log is probably the most useful log for diagnostic purposes as the settings are saved on shutdown which presumably isn't happening when you see this problem on the next boot.
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.
I'll do some more testing. I tried 25/10 and the problem was still there. I also couldn't get it to remember to "Hide Pictures/Programs".

I've only tested using "reboot" from the power menu. Shutting down and then turning back on may be different. I'll update when I can.
It seems that after I did one proper "power off" the problem was gone and I now can't reproduce it at all(I tried updating to about 5 different builds and then back to 31/10.)

Some sort of glitch I guess. Sorry for jumping the gun.

I am not sure I have done things correctly, but anyway here's the log:

http://xenway.com/_kodi/log-2015-11-02-21.58.56.zip

I was attempting to play a bluray concert video which includes a DTS-MA audio track. Passthrough was initially turned on, so when I attempted to play the bluray there was no audio.

I then tried to turn passthrough off (via the audio settings dialog) whilst the video was still playing. That appeared to do something funky and the entire video locked up so I stopped the playback via the stop button.

Then I started the playback again from the beginning (with passthrough now disabled, since I had just turned off passthrough before stopping the video) and now audio played ok (but without passthrough).

Hope this is clear enough. If a better/cleaner log is needed, let me know and I'll try again.
try to toggle audio output as i reported here http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=...pid2148086

for me yesterday worked but i didn't test today
Hi
I think I found a bug, but I do not know if it's OpenELEC or kodi.
When I want to export the video library, and choose the option separate files, asks for a destination folder (?)

running
OpenELEC-Nvidia_Legacy.x86_64-6.0-Milhouse-20151031023441-#1030-gbe8e1e0

regards

Thanks, looks like you've found a bug that slipped under the radar.

Based on RPi builds, it first appears with build #0711.

Prior to #0711, the "Export video library" dialog appears as follows (and works as expected):

Image

However from #0711 onwards, the order/labelling of the buttons changes, and now the buttons perform the opposite function of their label:

Image

ie. "Separate" now prompts for a directory and generates a single file, while "Yes" (for single file) doesn't prompt for a directory and generates seperate files... Oops.

Based on the #0711 changelog the most obvious candidate that could cause this issue is PR7484 - I'll leave a note on PR7484 pointing here.

Thanks for noticing and reporting. Smile

Edit: According to trac #16159, PR7649 fixed this error on 31 Jul (and indeed it did). The dialog then worked correctly until build #0910 whereupon it became inverted for a second time - I'm guessing as a result of PR7800... and then on 12 September a refactoring of various dialogs took place (PR8018) and appears to have retained the inverted behaviour for the export dialog.

I've opened another trac ticket...#16358

Probably a noob question but i have this h265 file (with aac 5.1 audio) that does not play on the latest build (never tested it on others). I only hear audio, not image. Any clues?

Absolutely none at all without a debug log (wiki).

Using your latest build on a Chromebox...excellent picture quality on full quality blu ray rips. No more banding, correct colors, 12-bit output. Letting Kodi decode the DTS MA audio stream instead of pass-thru to my Denon to avoid any lip sync issues. Plays BBB 4K @ 60fps like it's nothing. Great stuff!

Thanks, good to know. Smile

How do you manage 12 bit output? With a 8 bit RGB mode?
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
