Linux OpenELEC Testbuilds for x86 (Kodi 17)
Nobody can help you without proper logs - from your snippet it's not even clear which backend ...
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
sorry i was in a hurry, figured something was better than nothing....
Hi all,

I'm on 0122 can anyone tell where the use limited color range is? It used to be under system/system/video output....

Thanks!
Just loaded the most recent EGL build on a Haswell i5-NUC to see how it performed. H264 4:2:2 8-bit stuff is playing back very well indeed (no idea if it is 4:2:0 rendered or not) but the deinterlacing issues I used to see with saturated chroma being deinterlace to 25p appear to have been fixed (ffmpeg bug that's been fixed? Change to rendering?) Performance is also significantly improved it feels - most cores sitting at around 50%, peaking at around 70%.

Fantastic performance. (4:2:0 rendering for me is fine - it's just nice to be able to watch 38Mbs content without having to re-encode!)

Thank you very much for providing us with these bleeding edge testing builds.

I only have one problem: Since build #1121 my systems do not shutdown and reboot correctly. This is the same for the RPi2.
The system just keeps hanging saying "[ OK ] Reached target shutdown." Shutdown procedures have been working fine in build #1119.

As far as I can remember, there was a similar problem with the RPi builds before that had been fixed.
I did not provide any kodi logs as I think this is unrelated. If you need logs or further information I will be happy to provide it.

Hopefully this is now fixed for good in #0203, can you test this build and confirm.

Hi both - would be really good to get some positive test results before merging.

Guys,

Juist want to mention that from this new version on #0205 the party mode works very well, in previous builds I noticed a short mute at the end of the song (just before the transition to the next song)
It seems that this "bug" is solved [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES] (maybe nobody had noticed it before [FACE WITH STUCK-OUT TONGUE AND WINKING EYE]...)

I use Kodi a lot for Music and want to thank everybody very much for All the hard work [THUMBS UP SIGN]
Nice build but freeze bug when stopping video is still present so i have to role it back.

Here are logs, maybe something usefull:
dmesg |paste
http://sprunge.us/MJVT

journalctl |paste
http://sprunge.us/bZBa

Couldn't find this reported anywhere, so here is one for the group.

When I play back recorded TV content, playback freezes when skipping over commercials.

I am enclosing a debug trace: http://goo.gl/bDCEKF
At [12:29:45] I initiate a manual SKIP operation, this results in playback freeze
(If I leave it like this for ~5 mins, playback will fix itself and resume automatically)
At [12:30:02] I press the SKIP button again (This takes player out of freeze)

My platform is a NUC5CPYH [Celeron N3050; Cherryview (gen 8) (Braswell, Cherry Trail)]
dmesg enclosed here if needed: http://goo.gl/krjyr5
It is speaking to a MythTV 0.28 backend through the Kodi plugin.

Have I mis-configured something? Is there a known workaround?

Is this issue being tracked anywhere?

Assuming this is a known problem, do we already know when it was introduced?
I see this issue in both Milhouse and fritsch images since the beginning of the year.
I have not tested further back from this. Is this needed?

Thank you,

Marty

This above issue still persists for me on all test builds.

Is this the right place to ask about this?

I am seeing similar problems using the MediaPortal backend. I guess the seek issues are not solved. I will try to find time to dig into this and provide helpful logs.
Hi all,
Does anyone know where the limited color range and dither settings are in this build?

reporting- #207b is now working well on Nextpvr backend http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=250745 3.6.6/Win7-64 with hauppauge HDPVR2/Avermedia Duetx2 (4 OTA Tuners).

I noticed today- The #206 had stalling (stuck in slow motion mode?) Rewinding/FF live TV.
On 207b that seems resolved so far on Zotac AQ01, AMD A4-5000 APU.
Hi Milhouse

Just to say...

Uh... cries of complete success were premature - heh-heh. BUT, since there's no-skin-crying, I'll just say rolling back to #0122 allows me to see ALL the dialog boxes and messages again Wink

I take it all back now Rofl

Seems somebody who just can't do without their Xonfluence skin - and is willing and able to fork & tinker - has produced a Xonfluence-4-Krypton version that runs happily on your latest build.

Blessings and Gratitude go to Uukrul, who will maintain a v17 branch of the skin, available here, for anyone who cares.

Confluence > CCM > Xonfluence has always been the Face of xbmc/Kodi around here, so I'm pumped that it will remain so, as I continue to follow your build releases.

Thought you'd like to know Blush
