Currently setting resume point and watched status via API only is possible for videos in the Library. But it would be very helpful to have the same function for Videos that have not been scanned into the library.
My use case I have a folder where my TV recordings are located which I just watch once and then delete. So I do not scan them into the Library but I watch them either from Kodi or via Yatse (stream plugin). But unfortunately neither can have the resume point for them set nor the watched status updated when watching from Yatse.
