Reboot means?
#1
Hi, sorry for the dummy question but does restart/reboot mean I have to reboot my Mac EVERY time to see the results of what I've modified (i.e. PVR m3u lists, etc.)? Isn't there a way to achieve a soft reboot via Terminal or something? This is really a dealbreaker for me...

Thanks

When changing some settings Kodi says Restart required. Clicking on Kodi's 'power' button I get several options, the most important being Exit and Reboot. Exit basically quits the program. Reboot (with my surprise) actually reboots the whole Mac!
The problem is some of those modifications don't work if I simply exit Kodi, they only work if I reboot. But that's a huge PITA, and I'd be surprised there's no way to achieve the same result without rebooting the machine.

Thanks

A reboot of the computer itself is never required, I assure you.
