ok, that works. Very strange that kodi gets curl errors.
Only thing I can imagine is mint having another curl version or something.

Please enable curl trace logging in kodi settings(directly under debug logging), restart kodi, try to update the repo and provide a new log

Hmm, the OP's OS is 32 bit,
maybe it's somehow related?

AFAIK mint's libcurl package is from ubuntu.

Check your OS dns settings.
You could try google dns servers 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4

Changed the DNS and it's still broken.

BTW I don't really think this is network related... I have Kodi on Windows on my other machine in the same network and it runs just fine.

I don't know what *you* think, but from your log I do know that curl fails to resove the dns name.
