Solved Kodibuntu - Smart Playlists Fail
#1
Question
New to Kodibuntu, but have ran XBMC & Kodi for years on Windows, RPi's & Linux.

Just installed Kodibuntu and updated the base & kodi once installed. I got my Smart Playlists all setup, organize my media into Kids Movies, Kids TV, etc... all is working pretty well.
If I reboot Kodibuntu, the Smart Playlists no longer respond. Clicking Kids Movies will now show Files & Playlists, but no movies. If I select the Kids Movies playlist, it doesn't do anything, and neither do any of the others.
I can reboot continually, and it won't start working. I have found that I need to Quit, and get to the logon screen, then logon again, and just like that, all the Smart Playlists start working again.

The Samba shares are still working this whole time, as I can browse to the file locations. I've tried creating new Smart Playlists as this happens, but they don't work either.
I've checked different skins too, same on all. Nox, Metropolis, Cirius Extended... they do the same, and the fix is the same. Switching between skins while issue is happening does not resolve anything either.

I have my library & mysql on an Ubuntu server, it's not local.

OS version: 14.04.3 LTS (Kernel 3.13.0-63-Generic)
Kodi 15.1 Git:d496682

Here is a Kodi log booting up to it not working.

And here is a log once I log off and log back on again and it starts working.

So I'm thinking that the network services are not starting quick enough when Kodi tries to establish connections to MySQL, which is why, every single time I reboot, there is no change, but if I Quit, and just log back on again once the network is running, everything is fine.

Any thoughts on this, and are there any ideas on how I can delay Kodi from loading for a few extra seconds to allow the network to get its act together?
